1. What should I expect on the first day?
- Answer: On the first day, you can expect an orientation session where you’ll be introduced to the company culture, policies, and procedures. You’ll meet your team members, get your workspace set up, and receive necessary instructions. We have BYOD i.e. Bring Your Own Device, so ensure your systems are upto the mark to perform necessary tasks. You will also get an overview of your internship tasks and expectations.
2. What kind of work will I be doing as an intern?
- Answer: As an intern at CareerPhi – A ServiPhi Initiative, you’ll first and foremost learn some of the most high-end technologies. Your tasks will revolve around it. It will involve: Learning, Reading, Watching Videos, Talking to Mentors, Writing Blogs & Articles, Building Presentations, and finally also Mentoring others. Ultimately, this could include the following in your subject: coding, testing, database management, technical documentation, project support, and more. The work is designed to help you learn and apply your skills in a real-world setting, with guidance from experienced mentors.
3. Will there be any training provided?
- Answer: Yes, most training will be provided all throughout your internship. The training is in online, mentor-led or mostly self-paced. We have designed this Training and Internship program to replicate real-word scenarios. This will include technical training on tools and technologies you’ll be using, as well as training on company-specific processes and methodologies. You will take most of these trainings online and appear for tests and quizzes throughout your term.
4. How will my performance be evaluated?
- Answer: Your performance will typically be evaluated based on the quality of your work, your ability to meet deadlines, your communication skills, your willingness to learn, your learning abilities and your test scores. Regular feedback sessions with your supervisor or mentor will be conducted on a regular basis.
5. What should I wear to the office?
- Answer: While this training and internship is being conducted remotely, we will still be doing a web based meeting very often. Cameras are expected to be working during these calls. The agenda is to prepare everyone for real-life professional setting. A business casual dress code is highly recommended. This means you should wear professional but comfortable attire.
6. What are the working hours?
- Answer: Working hours for interns are same as those of full-time employees, typically 9 hours a day. Work timings are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, barring public holidays. Public holiday list will be provided by the company during your first week.
7. Will I be paid for my internship?
- Answer: This is a free training and internship program. Here, you are not paying us anything, and we are not paying you anything. We will give this on our letterhead. Our main aim is to prepare you for real life work. Once you training performance is up to the mark, we will position you for our clients’ LIVE projects. Your Salary/CTC will start as soon as you are selected on the client project. Our clients pay us. Hence, it is in our interest that you get a LIVE job at the earliest.
8. Can I expect to be offered a full-time position after my internship?
- Answer: While our training and internship is a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills and fit within the company, a full-time job offer is not guaranteed. In order to get a full-time position, the only way is to get on LIVE client project and keep performing up to the mark.
9. Who should I contact if I have any questions or issues during my internship?
- Answer: You’ll be assigned a mentor or supervisor who will be your main point of contact during the training and internship. Additionally, the HR department is always available to assist with any administrative or personal issues you may encounter. You will get all necessary contact details after your onboarding.
10. What tools and software will I be using?
- Answer: Depending on your role, you may use a variety of tools and software, including coding platforms, project management tools, databases, and communication tools like Skype/Teams/Zoom, etc.. You’ll be given access to these tools and may receive training on how to use them.
11. What is the training and internship duration?
- Answer: Training and Internship duration = the time it takes for you to get on a LIVE project or job. We have seen interns going on a live project in first month. Many also take as long as 6 months or more. The idea is, with our training and internship, you are getting a group of people who learn and help each other to get employed fast. This also covers your experience till the time you land a job.
12. What will I get during Training and Internship?
